Getting Here

Humber Valley Resort is located in the heart of the Humber Valley on the west coast of Newfoundland, Canada's easternmost province. The resort nestles in a forest setting on the northern bank of Deer Lake and the Humber River just a minute from exit 11 of the Trans-Canada Highway which gives easy and direct access to both nearby Deer Lake Airport (20 Minutes) and the gulf ferry service from Port au Basques (21/2 hours).

Main Office

NOTE: THE LOCATION OF OUR MAIN OFFICE HAS CHANGED.  The Main Office for The Lodges at Humber Valley Resort is now located at 5 Lake Close,  Humber Valley Resort.  Turn off the TCH at Exit 11 (to Little Rapids) and follow the signs to Boom Siding and the bridge leading to the Humber Valley Resort.  Once inside the security gate take the first road on your right - that is Lakeside Drive.  Lake Close is on your right, 2.2 km along Lakeside Drive.
Payment is due on check-in.

The resort is a short drive from Deer Lake Airport (YDF) which was recently expanded to meet the growing traffic coming in to the area and in April 2009 was granted "port of entry" status by the Canadian Government allowing the possibility of future international services. Deer Lake Airport is served by most major Canadian air carriers and has direct flights to St Johns, Newfoundland (YYT), Halifax, Nova Scotia (YHZ), and Toronto, Ontario (YYZ). Easy connections are also available to Montreal, Quebec (YUL) another major transatlantic and North American hub airport.

To reach the resort from the airport turn right onto the Trans-Canada Highway heading west towards Corner Brook. Some 25 km west of the township of Deer Lake take exit 11 from the TCH. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn right and follow the road signs to the resort.

If arriving by air we strongly recommend that you book a rental car well in advance of arrival, particularly during peak season in summer and winter when demand for cars often exceeds supply. The resort is located some 15 minutes east of Corner Brook, the regional centre and is spread over a large area which makes a car an essential part of your holiday.

Flight times from USA and Europe

The resort is located just off the Trans Canada Highway at Little Rapids, between Corner Brook and Pasadena. To reach the resort heading east or west take exit 11from the TCH and follow the road signs to the resort.

Road Access Map
