The Lodges at Humber Valley Resort offers you the opportunity to escape to Newfoundland, Canada's easternmost Province, a place recently rated the number 1 great undiscovered holiday destination by Wanderlust magazine. Humber Valley Resort is located in the heart of the Humber Valley on the west coast of Newfoundland. It is the ideal location to use as your base for exploring the many natural wonders to be found on the west coast of the island, to chase whales and icebergs, to embark on an exploration of the rich cultural heritage of the first part of North America to be settled by Europeans or to participate in the many summer or winter activities available on or off site. The Resort is tucked into the woods between Deer Lake and the northernmost extension of the Appalachian Mountain range. Our luxury holiday lodges lie on the banks of Deer Lake, line the fairways of the Resort's award winning Doug Carrick designed golf course or nestle deep in the woods. Great care was taken during the development of the resort to preserve as much as possible of the natural habitat and our guests are often rewarded by sightings of wildlife in and around the site including moose, foxes, squirrels, chipmunks and a great variety of birdlife. It doesn't matter whether your idea of a perfect holiday is non stop activity or to kick back and chill out, this is the perfect location to do either (or both). |
